Enrolling your child in your own class is a very difficult decision for a teacher. As much as he/she likes to monitor his/her child's education under his/her own guidance, people may interpret this situation differently. Some will never bother about it as long as the teacher is fair in giving grades. Others may see it as a kind of favoritism or the like. Still others may find it controversial and unfair especially when the child gains the highest honors in the class.

Have you ever experienced such a situation? Well, I have. For our teacher, it was not easy because of the stigma attached to  it. My classmate also felt the same way. Since the class was the only one available for that grade, they had to accept the situation.

Such a situation is not easy. My classmates and I were first hesitant to befriend the son of our teacher because we were afraid that he will reveal our naughtiness to his mother. We were also afraid that our teacher will give the highest grades to her son. Eventually, these worries never materialized as our teacher is fair and professional. And we were happy about that.
