January 2025 Alternative Learning System (ALS) Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test

 Usap-usapan sa mundo ng Alternative Learning System (ALS) ng Department of Education (DepED) ang posibilidad na magkakaroon na ng Accreditataion and Equivalency (A&E) paper and pencil test sa darating na January 2025.

Bukod dito, maaaring maging batayan ang pagpasa sa Presentation Porfolio Assessment (PPA) ang isang ALS learner bago sumabak sa pagsusulit na ito. Dahil dito, pinaghahanda na ang mga mag-aaral ng ALS na kumpletuhin ang kanilang mga written at performace work samples at pagrereview para sa ALS A&E Test.

Ano ang Pangulong-Tudling?

                Ang editoryal o pangulong-tudling ang pangunahing tudling ng kuru-kuro ng isang pahayagan. Kumakatawan ito hindi ng isang opinyon o kuro-kuro ng isang manunulat lamang kundi pinagsama-samang  paninindigan ng patnugutan ng pahayagan kaya sinasabing kaluluwa ito ng publikasyon. Kadalasan ang pangulong-tudling ay makikita sa likod ng unang pahina o front page ng isang pahayagan. Pagkaminsan, inilalarawan ng isang cartoon ang paksa ng isang editoryal. Ang pangulong-tudling ay isang mapanuring paglalarawan ng napapanahong isyu o kalagayan ng lipunan subali't hindi tuwirang naninira o tumutuligsa sa isang personalidad. Hindi nawawala ang editoryal sa isang pahayagan.

Wastong Gamit ng Pigilan at Pigilin

Madalas ay nagpakakasalit-salit natin ang paggamit ng salitang "pigilan" at "pigilin". Normal lang ito dahil napakalapit ng ibig sabihin ng dalawang salitang ito.

PIGILAN  = ipatigil o hadlangan ang anumang kilos, gawain, o pangyayari sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng balakid o pagbibigay ng utos.

Mga Halimbawa:

1. Pigilan mo ang mga mag-aaral sa kanilang gagawing pag-aalsa.

2. Kahit ano ang iyong gawin, hindi mo mapipigilan ang kanyang nabuong desisyon.

3. Huwag mong tangkaing pigilan ang kanyang gagawing pag-alis at baka may mangyaring masama sa iyo.

4. Si Pedro ay pinigilan  na pumasok sa tarangkahan ng kanilang kapitbahay.

PIGILINhadlangan o kontrolin ang anumang aksyon, kilos, o damdamin, at iwasan ang pagganap ng isang bagay gamit ang puwersa o awtoridad upang hindi ito magpatuloy o lumala.

ALS Presentation Portfolio Assessment 2024 Passing Score

Ano ang passing score upang pumasa sa Alternative Learning System (ALS) Presentation Portfolio Assessment (PPA) para sa taong 2023-2024?



Ang minimum score upang magawaran ng katunayan atmaging PPA passer ay 35 points.

Nasa ibaba ang pinakamataas na score at ang minimum na dapat makuha ng isang ALS learner:

ALS Presentation Portfolio Assessment 5

        Batay sa Memorandum No. DM-CT-2024-025 noong January 23, 2024 na ipinalabas ni Undersecretary Gina O. Gonong ng Office of the Undersecretary for Curriculum and Teaching, aarangkada na simula nitong February 1, 2024 hanggang May 15, 2024 ang pagsasagawa ng Presentation Portfolio Assessment 5 (PPA 5) sa mga mag-aaral ng Alternative Learning System (ALS) para sa taong 2023-2024. Nangangahulugan ito na baka wala nang magaganap na Accreditation and Equivalence (A&E) Test para sa school year na ito.

ALS Para sa mga OFW, Meron na nga ba?

Mayroon na nga bang Alternative Learning System (ALS)  program para sa mga Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW)? Ito ang tanong ng mga manggagawang Filipino na nasa ibang bansa na hindi nakatapos ng elementarya o high school. Nais kasi nilang ipagpatuloy ang kanilang pag-aaral upang makamit ang patunayan o sertipiko ng pagtatapos, sa elementary, junior high school JHS), o senior high school (SHS) level.

Sa kasamaang palad, wala pang memorandum o order ang ipinalalabas ng DepEd (Department of Education) para magkaroon ng ALS for OFW, modular, face-to-face, o online man. Marahil, hindi pa marami ang humihiling para magkaroon nito. Sa ibang salita, kokonti pa ang tinig ng mga OFW na nais magkaroon ng ganitong programa.

May mga OFW na nakatapos ng ALS kahit sila ay nasa ibang bansa. Ano ang kanilang ginawa upang makakuha ng katunayan, diploma, o sertipiko? Simple, nag-enrol sila bago umalis ng bansa o ipinarehistro ng kanilang mga kamag-anak. Nagmeme-message sila sa kanilang mga guro tungkol sa mga aralin, proyekto, at requirements sa pamamagitan ng cellphone, FB messenger, at email o sulatroniko. Naging madali ang sistemang ito nitong nagdaang tatlong taon dahil halos modular at online ang ginamit na pamamaraan sa pag-aaral dahil sa banta ng Covid-19. Hindi nagkaroon ng Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) test kung kaya't portfolio lamang ng mga ALS learners , oral at written test, at interview o panayam ang ginamit na batayan upang pagkalooban ng katunayan ang mga pumasa sa ALS. 

Sa taong ito, bukod sa portfolio, baka magkaroon na ng A&E test. Ano ang maaaring gawin ng mga OFW na nakarehistro sa ALS sa taong ito? Isa lang ang kanilang maaaring gawin upang makakuha ng pagsusulit? Humingi ng bakasyon sa panahon ng pagsusulit.

Dahil sa senaryong nabanggit, dapat na dumami ang boses ng mga OFW na nagnanais makapag-aral sa pamamagitan ng ALS. Dapat ay lumikha sila ng isang grupo na hihiling kay Pangalawang Pangulo Sara Duterte, na siya ngayong Kalihim ng Edukasyon, na gumawa ng isang kautusan upang maisagawa rin sa mga OFW ang programa ng ALS. 

Paano maisasagawa ang ALS sa ibang bansa?

1. Maaaring gamitin ang pasilidad at tauhan ng mga Philippine schools, embahada, at/o konsulado para rito. Pwede silang maging ALS learning centers at ALS implementors.

2. Online ALS for OFW. Maaaring magkaroon ng ALS portal para sa mga OFW.

3. Modular. Dahil nasa mga website naman ang mga ALS resources (modules), maaari i-print ang mga ito o basahin online.

4. Performance Portfolio Assessment at/o A&E Test. Maaari itong gawin sa mga Philippine schools, embahada o konsulado, tulad ng mga PRC board exams.

Marahil ay hindi naman ganon kahirap magkaroon ng ALS for OFW. Kailangan lamang ng maraming boses ang mga OFW at determinasyon ang DepEd. Ito na ang panahong upang hindi mapag-iwanan ang ating mga OFW na itinuturing na mga bagong bayani. Sana ay magkaroon na nito sa isang taon.

Magastos na Pamana - Isang Essay o Sanaysay

Sa dulang ating napakinggan, isa na namang bahagi ng ating kultura ang nailarawan. Ito ay ang pagdaraos ng kapistahan. Ang pamanang ito na nagbuhat sa mga Kastila ay sumasalamin ng pagiging relihiyoso ng mga Filipino. Gayunman,  ang tradisyong ito ay nagiging maluho kung kaya't tugma ang titulong "Magastos na Pamana".

Ang Pista ay isang tradisyong ng mga Filipino na ipinagdiriwang taon-taon. Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay isang parangal o pasasalamat sa santo o santa ng isang barangay o bayan. Nagsisilbi ring isang "reunion" ng isang pamilya o mga kaibigan ang pista dahil nagkakasama-sama sila at nagsasalo-salo sa hapag ng maraming masasarap na pagkain.

Kung datirati ay simple lang ang pagdaraos ng pista, ito ay naging magastos na habang umuusad ang panahon. Ang okasyon na kaakibat lang ng pagiging Kristiyano ng mga Filipino noon ay nahaluan na ng kayabangan at kahambugan. Malayo pa ang pista ay limpak-limpak ng salapi ang nagugugol. Mula sa pagsasabit ng mga banderitas sa kahabaan ng kalsada hanggang sa maglalagay ng mga bagong muwebles at kurtina sa loob ng mga bahay, libo-libong salapi ang nawawaldas. Wala pa rito ang gastos sa pag-aarkila ng mga banda, tagapagpasaya, at mga artistang mangtatanghal sa bisperas at araw ng kapistahan. Upang makaagapay sa mga kapitbahay, marami ang nangungutang makapaghanda lamang sa pagdiriwang ito. 

Kahit magastos ang pamanang ito ng mga Kastila, nanatiling isang okasyon ang Pista na inaabangan ng mga Filipino dahil na rin sa kasayahan at kasiyahang naidudulot nito. Dagdag pa rito, ang nabuong masayang karanasan at mga alaala sa bawa't pamilya at mga kaibigan ay hindi malilimutan at walang katumbas na salapi. Isa pa, ang pagdaraos ng kapistahan ay isang tradisyon na bahagi na ng ating kultura. Hindi na ito maaalis kailanman nguni't sana, ang paggastos ay maging sapat lamang.
